It’s a bit more well known than other areas you’ve discussed, but the old nuclear test site is pretty out of the way, as is Jacobstown. It took me a good 3 playthroughs before going to either, in part because I had no idea about jacobstown and thought that area was actually Yucca Mountain, which I assumed would be extremely radioactive. Turns out it wasn’t, obviously.

Definitely worth the longer run time for this video! I missed half the notes completing the story and never knew it all, this may be the most horrifying place to me in the game. Lakelurks have a certain scare factor as they remind me of real life cryptids and humanoids in folk tales or sightings. More grounded than a death claw to me

I recently experienced something similar, where most of the deathclaws refused to go very far into the water, but one ended up running/swimming about halfway across the river. Very strange and it just kept bobbing back and forth rather than try to make it back to land.

the true horror here is the fact you used anti-material rifle to kill coyotes and a pistol to kill lakelurks..... (great vid btw)

Camp guardian used to be such a pain in the ass for me not bc its hard but bc there are so many lakelurks. but check out the deathclaw promitory in the southeast if u follow the river to the north

I would recommend visiting Fire Root Cavern & Cottonwood crater area, both areas look super beautiful despite being the landing spot for one of the nukes :P

you said jets arent seen much in fallout (which is true ) but i think these jets are reused from the ones in fo3 on top of rivet city since it was an aircraft carrier which is interesting

Regarding Searchlight and airports, Searchlight native Harry Reid now has his name on what was McCarran airport! I guess that never happened in the fallout universe (yes yes I know the name change happened after the game released 😛), though Camp Reid still sounds nice.

Metalic monks playing in the back is beautifully terrifying with lake lurkes, the scariest enemies to me and the scariest and best song

It’s strange that you say the Lakelurks are more terrifying than mirelurks, when effectively they’re retextured Mirelurk kings from Fallout 3. Though honestly my favorite Mirelurk design is the Mirelurk king from 4, it’s so aggressively aquatic and strange

Camp Guardian Is a interesting location with its lore of being a observation post by the NCR to spy on the Legion, its just South of the Devils Throat. If you haven't already explored it take a look.

Visit near the dam and the waters surrounding the end game areas that are not accessible untill the end.

You can tell New Vegas has alot of wasted and unfinished space in the game. We can rag on FO3 all we want but literally everywhere you go in FO3 there is an area of interest

I forget exactly what it’s called, but could you do a video on the floating station in lake mead? It’s made of junk and has some Lakelurks and a few medical supplies and junk, it’s also pretty close to the bomber I think.

Seems like the perfect spot to build a giant shanty town made entirely of discarded aircraft parts!

I just barely missed bitter springs in my first play through, I found the resort area (I think that’s what it’s called) with all the destroyed trailers and never realized there was an n r camp there.

Kinda wish there was a unique weapon or something here, like if one of the jets had a gun that fell off and you could repair it and make it handheld.

i always liked the vibe of this place too bad its so underrated

Camp Guardian is not far from Bitter Springs, there's a big cave to explore there.

Sadly, this place is kinda boring, but the one you can go outside the borders of the map! At least something...

A quest can take place here, for the NCR, the one about teaching new soldiers how to get better. Don't really remember cuz I don't complete this quest this way, but this place is nice at the start - scorpions = free xp
